General Insulation is pleased to announce the opening of Branch 35 in Bangor, Maine. The Bangor Branch is a satellite location for Branch 3 in Lewiston and will fall under the supervision of Mark O’Neil, Executive Vice President. Marc Bernier, the Branch Manager for Lewiston will also be the Branch Manager for Bangor. The warehouse will is located 100 miles Northeast of Lewiston on I-95. Bangor, in addition to being Maine’s third largest population area, is logistically central to northern Maine (Aroostook County), The Bar Harbor Region and The Downeast area of Maine. The idea for the store was developed around customer requests for better access to our products and services beyond our scheduled two trips a week to the region. Our prime competitor has a branch in the area and essentially has the region to themselves. The address is as follows.

                            257 Perry Road
                            Bangor, ME 04401
                            Phone: 207.991.5240
                            Fax: 207.991.5241

The market we are focused on is the HVAC and sheet metal shop supply. There are about ten shops in the immediate area and several HVAC technician type companies that we have our interest. The location provides a level playing field when servicing Aroostook County customers who are another 180 miles up the highway near the Canadian border. The branch also situates us with a better opportunity to support two resident insulation contractors who expect constant attention, and as an added bonus, virtually every regional plumbing supply house is established in the area to compliment our supply house business.

The Bangor branch Operations Manager is Harry McGuire. Harry’s prior position was customer service with Homans Assoc. and prior to that as Branch Manager in training for Sid Harvey, Inc. Harry has held an oil burner serviceman license and is very familiar with the Mechanical Insulation business, the HVAC business and the key players of each market in the Bangor service area.

Best of luck to Branch 35!
