Effective October 1, 2008, Dave Lyons and Victor Broadnax will begin their duties as General Managers to Branches 1 and 6 respectively. These promotions are all part of General’s executive restructuring. The branches’ former General Managers, Scott Campbell and Mark Snodgrass, have been appointed the position of Regional Vice Presidents, leaving two of the busiest branches to their operations managers.

Dave Lyons started his career in the insulation industry 25 years ago, while he helped his father fabricate gaskets for General Insulation. For the past 15 years, Dave has been the Operations Manager for Branch 1 in Malden, helping the location triple in size. Dave also has played a vital role in the transition to a paperless environment as General made the switch to order placing via the computer. As of October 1, Dave will assume Scott Campbell’s former position as General Manager. Dave was born and raised in Billerica, Massachusetts, where he currently resides with his wife and four daughters.

Victor started working in the insulation industry in 1983. Victor, then 21 years old, worked for B & B Contracting/Supply. There, Victor worked in the warehouse and as a driver, making delivers to his coworkers and customers in the field. Later, Victor rose to the position as Warehouse Manager and then became the Purchasing Agent. After the company began downsizing in February 1994, Victor was left without a job until meeting Mark Snodgrass on a Friday in July of that year. Victor started his General journey the following Monday as Warehouse Manager. Since then, Victor has been a crucial part of the Dallas branch’s growth, more than doubling in size since Victor started working. As of October 1, Victor will take Mark Snodgrass’s position as General Manager of General’s Dallas location.
