General Insulation is pleased to announce the addition of Matt Ellis and Daniel Pilling to our team.

Matt joins General Insulation’s location in Dallas, Texas as the General Manager. Matt has a diverse sales management and business development background. His experience includes success in consumer brands, international business, roofing manufacturing, and, most recently, Matt spent four years with Owens Corning’s Commercial and Industrial Insulation division. Matt graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where he played football and wrestled. While in college, Matt used his talent as the school’s mascot, Rocky the Rock, to become the Pittsburgh Pirate Parrot for the major league baseball team. Matt will use his immense sales skills, creativity, and expertise to lead the Dallas branch in his role as General Manager.

Daniel started his career in the hot summer of 1989 working in his family’s mechanical insulation business as a warehouse helper. He would help cut Foamglass insulation and he cleaned the warehouse. Eventually, Daniel decided to move on to work for South Insulation as an installer and then in 1997 Daniel was offered an inside sales position for the North Brothers Company in Orlando, Florida. In 1999, Daniel decided to accept a position for Specialty Products and Insulation, SPI, as a Customer Sales and Service Representative. For the next ten years, Daniel held several positions with SPI including Account Manager, Operations Manager, and Branch Manager. In late June 2009, Daniel was pleased to begin his journey with General Insulation as a General Manager in Florida.
