Effective the first day of General’s fiscal year, October 1, 2008, a new corporate structure will come into play. With Frank Granara as president, Larry Murphy and Mark O’Neil now become executive vice-presidents. In an effort to increase efficiency in the way General is run, Larry and Mark will spend more time running the branches as a whole in Medford, and less time at the individual branch level. To make this possible, six General Insulation employees have been promoted to regional vice-presidents.

Scott Campbell, Al Zaepfel, and Rick McMullen will act as regional vice-presidents reporting directing to Mark. Scott will be responsible for Branch 1 in Malden, MA; Branch 9 in Albany, NY; Branch 15 in Syracuse, NY; Branch 22 in Long Island City, NY; and Branch 13 in Carteret, NJ. Al will be responsible for Branch 14 in Rochester, NY; Branch 16 in Buffalo, NY; Branch 17 in Erie, PA; Branch 23 in Pittsburgh, PA; and Branch 32 in Cleveland, OH. Branches 19, 28, 7, and 8 (Camden, NJ; Washington, DC; Harrisburg, PA; and Atlanta, GA, respectively) will report directly to Rick McMullen. Branches 2 and 3 in Worcester, MA and Lewiston, ME will report directly to Mark.

Mark Snodgrass, Gerry Towle, and Mick Clinger will act as regional vice-presidents reporting directly to Larry. Reporting to Mark will be Branch 6 in Dallas, TX; Branch 12 in Houston, TX; Branch 20, in Austin, TX; Branch 31 in Harlingen, TX; and Branch 18 in San Francisco, CA. Gerry will serve as the vice-president for the Great Lakes region as he takes control of Branch 21 in Chicago, IL; Branch 25 in Dayton, OH; Branch 26 in Columbus, OH; and Branch 27 in Indianapolis, IN. The four Florida branches—Branch 5 in Orlando, Branch 10 in Tampa, Branch 11 in Fort Myers, and Branch 24 in Miami—will report to Mick Clinger. Reporting directly to Larry will be General’s branches in Canada (Branch 40 in Halifax and Branch 41 in Toronto) and branches 29 and 30—Northeast and Southeast Specialty.

The new structure will ensure that the corporate office will run efficiently. This is especially important as General continues to expand in the coming years.
